You'll be coming up here flat out Steve...mind the sheep..
Sunday being the day of rest, theres no racing/practicing on today, we had a later start and we were at the pits by 10am as Steve was joining a minibus trip round the course with some others.
View up the mountain pass, usually speeds of 130mph+ on this section
Jason joined Wag and Mick for a shopping trip to B&Q hardware store for supplies, that left me to crack on and get Steve’s no1 bike ready. We actually plan to use the spare bike until Wednesday, and let Steve get used to the circuit before letting him loose on a bike which we are hoping will be similar to a speeding cannon ball!

We shut it down at lunchtime and headed to Sulby Glen hotel for lunch. Steve has made friends with the owners over his years of coming here (they are going to his wedding in a few months) so a warm welcome was given along with a box of his camping gear which he left here 6 years ago !! We found a packet of cheese and onion crisps which were only 5 years out of date within the box, but still tasted ok…

We enjoyed our Sunday roast and made use of the free time to spend the rest of the afternoon driving round the circuit and all the small in roads looking for good spots for Jason to get some action shots during the race.

As the main public road closes you have to plan a route where you can travel to different spots without having to cross the circuit road so its worth planning.
ill be flying through here at over 120mph, so dont blink Jason cause youll miss me...
The scenery is truly breathtaking here when the sun is shining, beautiful rolling hills and you can always see the sea from any vantage point.
Our little drive ended up on the Douglas promenade where we stopped for an ice cream and watched the horse drawn tram, ferry people up and down the street.
Joey can look out over the mountain scenery every day now, what a fantastic tribute..
Its been great to chill out today but back to work tomorrow, practice at 6pm sharp!
