Manx GP IoM- Day 11 – Aug 29th – Blog by Alan Boyter, Vendetta racing
Sunday, was a day of r’n’r today. We woke late as our landlord was busy in the morning and promised to cook our breakfast at 10am, we tried to persuade him that it was no hassle and we could eat elsewhere but he was determined to cook for us, he really is a star.
We were up to the pits for 11am as we had a pit safety briefing. They showed us the procedure on how to refuel the bikes, pit entry and pit exit etc, all quite nerve racking to be honest!
Then it was a team roast over at the Sulby Glen hotel, all 12 of us! A certain person purchased lunch for all of us, thank you! you know who you are.
It was great to just chill out and relax in the sun with a couple of bverages, watching all the vintage bikes come in and out from their Rally’s before heading back to the pits to change the oil on the race bike and get everything ready for tomorrow.
The girls had nipped to the shops to get some healthy food for us all tonight, its going to be a quiet one, healthy food, beverages, and the moto GP and an early night.
Wish us luck for tomorrow!
Jason’s word of advice: Its not finished until the glass is empty.
