Gulf Racing Lamborghini during the Dubai 24hrs in 2012

Dubai, Jan 7th, 2013 -Kuwaiti racing driver Khaled Al Mudhaf will join the local Dubai based Gulf Racing Middle East squad in this year’s eighth edition of the Dubai 24hr with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600.

He is joined by drivers Frederic Fatien, Fabien Giroix and Stefan Johansson who achieved pole position for the 2011 event.

The team will enter under #9, in the A6 class and is prepared for some fierce competition from the Ferrari and Mercedes teams.

This is the first 24hr race endurance race for Khaled and the first time the country of Kuwait has been represented at this event. With 85 cars on the grid for 2013, the Dubai 24hr marks one of the largest motorsports events in the region.

Khaled has previously raced in GT, mini endurance and sprint races over the past three years with Maserati Trofeo, Radical and Ginetta race cars.

Over the past few months whilst maintaining a strict fitness schedule, Khaled has been testing in Portimao with the Nissan Nismo GT3 GTR where he set impressive lap times during the cars initial development stages.
