Michael Dunlop announced at the 2022 TT at the 2022 opening ceremony held on Saturday evening that the deal with PDM Ducati has fallen through.

This was due to no new machine being readily available and no testing time available ahead in readiness for the forthcoming North West 200 meeting and the 2022 Isle of Man TT

It has been announced that Michael will feature on the grid at the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend (April 30 – May 2) at Oulton Park in Cheshire.

He will take part in both the Quattro Group British Supersport and Pirelli National Superstock Championships with his MD Racing Team.

Michael stated “It will be good to get going next weekend although it will be busy competing in 2 classes but it will be important track time for me and the whole team”

  • Does this mean he will enter the 2 meetings ahead, the Northwest 200 and the TT he will be aboard his own machines, or will he gain a new ride on other machinery?

It is well known that a Superstock machine is more than capable of running in the senior races at the TT and in fact many riders prefer to ride their Superstock machines in the senior race the Blue Riband event at the TT

I guess we will not know until he appears at the Northwest 200, either way you can be sure that it will not be a machine that he is not capable of winning on, and that whatever he rides he will definitely be giving his all.
