Logan back in Dubai for some hot laps
2016 has been a busy year for 15 year old Logan Hannah having lived in the UAE for nearly 10 years she moved back to Scotland in May, where she was faced with the challenge of starting a new High School at Williamwood near Glasgow as well as continuing her karting career at the West of Scotland Karting Club’s Larkhall circuit with Duncan White’s Saltire Motorsport race team.
This has certainly been Logan’s most successful year to date with a 3rd place overall in the Al Ain Raceway Challenge Trophy, being signed to the Arden Young Racing Driver Academy, reaching the Finals of the Ginetta Junior Scholarship competition and winning the 2016 Karting Magazine Female Driver of the Year award.
Familiar track for Logan who was soon back into the swing of things
So with the Hannah family spending the festive period together out in Dubai, it was inevitable that Logan would show up on track in the familiar colours of her former race team SodiKart Middle East who kindly organized for her to spend the day testing in one of their Rotax Senior Max karts at the Dubai Kartdome.
Making the most of the warm Dubai weather before heading back to the UK
Logan quote: “It has been a great year for me moving back to the UK, having to adjust to the difficult track and weather conditions in Scotland so it was nice to be back lapping the Dubai Kartdome circuit again where it all started for me in 2013 in my first Junior SWS race. I really enjoyed my day testing with SodiKart Middle East and would like to especially thank Luigi and Vincent for taking such good care of me. I am moving up to race in Rotax Senior Max class in the UK next season so it was really useful to get in so many laps which will help me when I start practicing in my new Senior kart at Larkhall later in January although the grip level and temperature might be a bit different.”
Final testing session over, Logan will soon be heading back to Scotland in the UK to continue her racing
