Dubai 26 September 2011- Greek racing team Mouhritsa Racing have today confirmed they will return to compete in the 2011-2012 UAE Touring Car Championship, partnering with new sponsors, Gulf Petrochem.
This season the team will campaign both UAE racing circuits of Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Contesting to win Class 1, Class 2 and the newly formed Clio Cup with two cars on the grid driven by the former multiple UAE champion Costas Papantonis and Alexandros Annivas.
Costas will race the team’s newly purchased Seat Leon Supercopa whilst Alex will be competing in the Renault Clio 197 Cup. The team’s third driver, Konstantinos Annivas, will also compete in selective races. Antony Papalas will offer pit support alongside technical and race support from MSW Racing. The team are excited by the synergy with GT championship winner Jon Simmonds of MSW and his team that will bring additional confidence and expertise to the Mouhritsa team.
Throughout the season the Mouhritsa Team will be offering fun and exciting race day competitions to involve their fans, with entertainment, mass media advertising and unique promotional programs are just a few of the activities planned for the highly anticipated 2011-2012 season.
