GENNEP (June 21th, 2011) – Organisers and promoters of the successful DUNLOP 24H DUBAI, the 12H HUNGARY and since this year also closely involved with the 24H BARCELONA, Dutch agency CREVENTIC now steps up a gear and has entered a partnership with Yeehah Events, the organisers of the most significant endurance event in Australia, the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour. Next year’s Bathurst race will take place on February 24th-26th, having been postponed to allow drivers to combine their participation in the Australian event with their start in the DUNLOP 24H DUBAI (January 12th-14th, 2012).
“Whilst the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour will not become an integral part of our 24H SERIES, it is a fantastic addition to our portfolio. We will actively promote the event in Europe. Not only among the teams who are competing in our events or have done so in the past, but among all teams in Europe. After all, one could say that racing at Bathurst is a ‘must’ for every passionate driver”, says CREVENTIC’s Gerrie Willems.
With its logistical experience from endurance events in Dubai and Hungary, CREVENTIC will support European or Middle East-based teams with all the transport, travel and organisational details concerning their participation in the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour. CREVENTIC is offering an attractively-priced package deal at 10,000 Euros, including the entry fee for participation in the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour and transport of a race car from main European ports (transport in shared 40ft containers). The price for entry fee and transport from the United Arab Emirates (Dubai port) is 8,000 Euros, an attractive option for teams already participating in the DUNLOP 24H DUBAI.
The structure of the classes and eligible cars for the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour have been modified to accommodate the cars and teams taking part in the DUNLOP 24H DUBAI and other major European events and series. The GT3 and GT4 categories remain the top categories in Bathurst while production cars can also be entered. This year, GT cars were eligible to race at Bathurst for the first time, which already resulted into a stronger international presence.
“We have already received the entries of two European teams: Belgian outfit VDS Racing Adventures with a Ford Mustang, the winners of last month’s 12H HUNGARY, and the Dutch Red Camel Racing team with a SEAT Leon”, says Gerrie Willems. “We are confident that we can attract more teams from Europe or the Middle East to race at Bathurst and we are looking forward to a great partnership with our friends in Australia!”
