Qatar International Road Racing Championship brings back to back wins for Cudlin
Qatar, Losail, Feb 19th 2011: Alexander Cudlin stays unstoppable and he grabs again 50 points at Losail International Circuit this weekend.
In race one, the Australian got pole position and lead the race almost from the beginning, only Nasser Al Malki and Mishal Al Naimi could follow his rhythm but at the middle of the race he escape from them and lowered his best time to 2.03.650.
The second and third place was a tough battle between the Qatari riders Nasser Al Malki and Mishal Al Naimi who finished second and third respectively.
In the second race of the day, the script of the race was the same as previous. The Australian rider, Alex Cudlin took the win and again similar battles took place between the Qatari riders Mishal Al Naimi and Nasser Al Malki but this time they exchanged positions and the second place was for Mishal Al Naimi and Nasser Al Malki ended third.
Cudlin now lies 35 points ahead Mishal Al Naimi and 50 points ahead Nasser Al Malki.
‘ It was a perfect day for me. I wanted to get a good rhythm and I managed to be fast in each session of the weekend in the race the bike was very good, I didn’t make any change in the bike. I went much faster in the second race and I set the fastest lap of this year. I am happy because with the windy conditions of the day it was not easy’ Cudlin said at the press conference.
