Abu Dhabi 19th Dec 2010: Team MSW Racing have just returned from the spectacular Yas Marina circuit with an incredible 3 winners trophies awarded in three separate UAE National championship classes!

It was a quite dominant performance from our small independent team this weekend as in addition to the 3 wins we also secured 2 poles and 2 fastest laps in the process with only a ‘phantom’ engine management fault depriving Andre Ramdhanny (#11 Seat Leon) of full power and potential win in race one of the UAE TCC.

These results really are the stuff that dreams are made of and a source of immeasurable pride for myself and the entire team and a direct result of the huge efforts made by everyone involved in MSW’s racing campaign.

On this point, I am keen to acknowledge the vital role played by Alex Renner and his ARM team of engineers and technicians who prepare and run the MSW liveried #22 Porsche 997 Cup car driven by myself and my co-driver Phil Quaife in the UAE GTB championship.

As MSW’s team principal my responsibility is to have the most able people taking care of each car and that is why I chose to have ARM run the Porsche.

Special mention also must go to Phil Quaife who delivered a master-class in how to hunt down the opposition when he assumed driving duties at the half-way point of the race.

Seeing the #11Ginetta take it’s maiden win in GTA was a moving experience for all of us.  Multiple champ Karim and the stunning HOP/TAM Vette are a powerhouse of a combination to beat and we are very proud and happy to repay Raed Hassan and Bassam Kronfli’s faith in our team to help them get to the top step of the podium in GTA against such formidable opposition.

Our drivers and crew will now spend the enforced elongated break in the National racing schedule to prepare the cars and themselves to the best possible level as we know repeating such a result will be far from easy … but don’t count against it as we want it bad!
