December 12th 2010: Following the cancellation of the UAE Drift event last weekend due to exceptional circumstances, the event organizers are pleased to announce the now re-scheduled event will take place on Friday 17th at Dubai Festival City.
The UAE Drift event, which was due to showcase for the first time will now take place for one day only and entry will be free of charge to all spectators.
UAE Drift is organized by Dolphin Creative in association with JDM Allstars, it features 12 International professional drifting champions who will compete in an end of year tournament on a purpose-built urban style track, a signature style of the JDM Allstars. It promises to be a much anticipated day of high-octane adrenaline action with plenty of wild tyre smoke and maximum sideways action.
“We had last minute problems last week with the shipping of our specialized drifting cars from Europe which was totally out of our control, and so we had to cancel at short notice,” said Niall Gunn, of JDM Allstars. “We apologize to our fans for that, but now we can reveal that the show will go ahead on Friday, December 17 and it will offer just about as much action as they can handle.”
Fans can find UAE Drift next to the Toys ‘R’ Us exit at Dubai Festival City. Gates open at 2pm on Friday. Admission is free.
