Qatar: Opening weekend for Qatar SuperBike and Qatar Challenge at Losail

Losail, Thurs, Oct 3rd 2013 – According to the provisional entry list, a total of 44 riders from 16 different countries are registered to take part in the first round of Qatar SuperBike Championship.

The defendant champion, Alex Cudlin will try to get the title for fourth time in a row with a Kawasaki ZX10R but for sure that he will have a tough battle with the Qatari rider Nasser Al Malki who finished second in the standings last season.

The German lady rider Nina Prinz, also with a Kawasaki ZX10R who finished third in the standings last season, hopes to push very hard and try to beat his team mate Cudlin.

The Losail Asian Road Racing Series will ride together with the Qatar SuperBike as previous years. In the LARRS class, Nikolett Kovacs from Hungary and Waled Benterki from Algeria will participate again this season.

There will be two new female riders taking part in the LARRS, Manca Katrasnik from Serbia and Badal Hanneh from Lebanon. The defendant champion of the LARSS, the Indian rider Rajini Krishnan has moved to the QSBK with a Suzuki ZX10R.

Regarding the Qatar (Auto) Challenge, 13 drivers have registered until now. The runner up of the last season, the Australian driver Talal Wehbe with a Lotus Exige and the third classified Pavel Nedobity from Czech Republic will take part again in this championship.

On Saturday there will be an official photo shootg with all the riders and drivers at 16:00 at the Start/Finish Line. The bike races will be at 19:20 and at 21:50. The car race is scheduled at 20:30.

Launch of this years Children Academy at Losail International Circuit for all the children who want to experience for first time riding a bike in the academy track or want to develop their skills with professional teachers

Together with the launch of Qatar Superbike and Qatar Challenge, this weekend it will be opened the Children Academy at Losail International Circuit for all the children who want to experience for first time riding a bike in the academy track or want to develop their skills with professional teachers.

The Academy is open from 13:00 to 17:00 and the registration is at 13:00 in the Children Academy. There will be different kind of bikes for the children to check different abilities: Suzuki 75cc, Suzuki 125cc and Polini bikes.
